World's Greatest Beer Videos
If you're a fan and consumer of beer, the chances are very good that you are also a fan and consumer of some of the best beer commercials in the world. Why do you buy beer? Because you like it. Why do you watch beer commercials? Because you like them - and they remind you what beers you should buy. That's how it works. Now, click away. Then, go and reward the folks who took the time to create these commercials for your benefit. You know how to reward them, don't you? Just walk into your local pub and ask for a ".... ....."
Dos Equis: The Most Interesting Man in The World.
This is easily one of the most popular ad campaigns to run in the past 5 years. Every new addition to the campaign feels a bit like getting a gift from a favourite uncle. Just don't count on getting any rollerblades from this favourite Uncle. Dos Equis, yes. Something boring or faddish? No chance.
Budweiser: TRUE. (Whassup!!?!!)
When Bud's ad people first ran this commercial on Monday Night Football in 1999, they must've known it was going to be HUGE. It is possibly the greatest viral beer commercial of all time.
It's also regarded as one of the greatest commercials of all time because "Whassup" spread like wildfire around the globe. A huge win for Bud.
How great is this ad? It's inducted into BOTH the Cannes and CLIO Hall of Fames. Not bad for some buddies hanging around and talking on the phone before a football game.
Labatt 50: Me and The Boys and Our 50, Me and The Boys and Our Beer.
Beer commercials have come a long way in the past 20-30 years. But, this isn't a funny or deeply thoughtful beer ad. What it is, though, is a beer ad that captures some basic truths about the end of the work week. It does it with one of the catchiest Canadian beer jingles of all time. That's what makes it a great commercial 30 years later.
Guinness: Fish on A Bike
When you've been brewing beer for more than 250 years, like the folks at Guiness have, you're going to learn a few things about your customers and how to reach them.
There are many big breweries in the world - but there are no big brewers with a more loyal audience than Guinness. That gives their marketing folks the luxury of doing pretty well whatever they want to do when it comes to advertising.
Some smart ass ad guy came up with an idea to put a fish on a bike. It worked. And we bought a pint of Guiness to celebrate the feat.
VB (Victoria Bitter) The Regulars (also known as The Parade)
This might be the favourite beer ad of the BeerShop.ca staff. VB is a pretty good Australian beer. Any ad that parades "Men Who Should've Read the Instructions," and "Guys Who Peaked in High School" is going to be damn funny. Well worth your two minutes - and worth a taste, too.
Rickard's: Choir (A Pint of Glory)
Hands up if you knew that Rickard's is owned by MolsonCoors. Rickard's is proof that the big boys can brew a good craft brew. This ad is also proof that the big boys know how to brew up a great ad.
Using a choir and music from the 1976 horror classic, "The Omen", this ad has us hanging on every word while a beautiful pint is poured.
So what if the guy who ordered it might have just walked into Hell's Pub? At least they have a pool table and serve good, cold beer there.
